VP of Data Science
As the VP of Data Science, David helps drive innovation at Mosaic by supporting our Scholars Program, leading the Research Review Committee, and advancing our client outcomes and data science initiatives. David has held various leadership and clinical positions within clinical, academic, technology, accreditation, and insurance companies. He is passionate about enhancing data-based clinical-ethical decision-making by integrating data science with behavior science to improve client outcomes.
David has a master’s degree in Bioethics from Union Graduate College, a PhD in Behavior Analysis from the University of Florida, post-doctoral training in Behavioral Pharmacology from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and post-doctoral training in data science from Insight! Data Science Fellowship, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral level (BCBA-D). David has served as a subject matter expert for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), founded and served as president of the Ethics in Behavior Analysis Special Interest Group (SIG) for the Association of Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), and is the current president of the Experimental Analysis of Human Behavior SIG for ABAI. Through independent and collaborative work, David has published 60+ peer-reviewed articles and book chapters; has authored or edited six textbooks spanning behavior analysis, ethics, and statistics; and has served as an Associate Editor or on the editorial board for the journals Behavior Analysis in Practice, Perspectives on Behavior Science, Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior and Social Issues, Psychological Record, Education and Treatment of Children, Single Case in the Social Sciences, Journal of Medical Internet Research mHealth and uHealth, and Towards Data Science.
Outside of work, David enjoys running, reading, coding, spending time with his wife, two beagles, and two kittens, and watching as much baseball as he can find the time for.
